Ugandans
The danger in this reasoning is that we have permanent people in this
reasoning with the running of our country. The people that decided that we
had a bad government during Obote two, decided that the Movement is a good
replacement, they decided to blow up all our Police stations with ambulances
and buses thus killing a whole whack of people, they decided that political
parties are bad and banned them, they decided that we need one term in
Uganda, they decided that a one term is not good enough so they extended it,
they decided that now Museveni is bad but his doctor is good and they are
deciding that we now need to support Dr Kiiza Besigye that built the
Movement to what it is today.
They have made the making of decisions on Uganda their life profession for
they believe that Uganda is their personal property.

I do not know how old you're and or whether you've even ever lived in
Uganda, or lived there by the time the NRA guerrilla war went live. Uganda
could only be described as a place in hell at the time, that is why some of
us do not regret the genuine reasons that took those young men into the
bushes of Luwero. What we regret, is how this 1980-1985 success story that
given a chance, would have tremendously transformed the country from a
backward Banana republic to a modern one society. Even by African standards.
Instead, it has with precision metamorphosed into a very sorry situation
reminiscent of the very political climate that prevailed back in time.
Today, we the very people that supported this war of liberation, can not
give you good enough answers as to why the Museveni junta has turned
predatory and cannibalistic. As to why the police has turned against the
very people they are supposed to protect, the answer lies partly in our
history, but also the fact that the apple doesn't fall far from the parent
tree. This is what Museveni has instilled in them....thuggery and theft.
Characteristics traced back during the colonial days.
What I'd like you to understand is that, given the opportunity, the police
will torture you too. The suffering these Ugandans are inflicting on
wanainchi like Besigye, the opposition, journalists and others, could easily
catch up with you too.
That is the sad story!!

Guys, your arguments are peppered with emotions. The moment you allow
emotions to cloud reason then forget all about intellectual debate.
Do we need consultants? Yes and a BIG YES!
Why? Uganda is developing the police, which was once the sick man of Uganda
under Katumba Wamala, into a formidable force that handles multiple
challenges at the same time.
For example there was minimal fighting yesterday b'se consultants gave good
counsel to cops on crowd control.
Secondly, we have several consultants in several gov't offices eg at
Finance, Tourism, BoU, Defence, UPDF (For example Special Forces are trained
by Cubans and Israel commandos) for capacity building.
And in case Besigye and his men go to ICC over protests, gov't already has
Zungu witnesses for defence.
The only problem i see here is that these guys are coming out in the open
and the whole saga has been politicised by the likes of Okurut, Oba and KI
LUTS.
Besigye should simply ignore violence - no one is interested in this
indiscipline of his. Ugandans want leaders who are articulate, visionary and
propose solutions to our grievances not those with a violent mindset.

Absolutely! There is no point training the lower cadres when their commander
is ignorant and in their world where the top man is always right. The lower
cadres will be frustrated as they will be forced to follow fake orders.
We can offer the president excellent consultation services if he so desires
