The army reaches a certain point and it becomes funny. How can a man that
abandoned a battle be saluted? No seriously this man abandoned not only his
defenders but he abandoned his entire Kingdom and people. Record must show
that Sir Edward Mutesa chickened out of a battle and abandoned Obuganda.
And there are two major issues that bother critical thinkers, fighters
remain in battle for what tis in it for them, this battle was about Buganda
his region, but he also had a large family, this man had about 12 wives and
at age 45 he had a liter of about 26 children, he abandoned all of them. But
he was a major General too, honestly to reach that rank, one has to be able
to stake out his behind when an AK47 goes off. I all along thought that Ayi
Ssabassajja woligwa nange wendigwa?
Apparently there is a chickening out part too. Geez.

2.Behind is City Square and what used to be Grindlays Bank (purchased by
Standard Bank in 1991, which proceeded to trade as Stanbic Bank). They did a
much better job than the current ones who oppose the traffic lights creating
jams along the way.The traffic police were very smart, with crisply ironed
uniforms and bright brass buttons. The Luganda reader for P2 (if I recall
right) had a story of one Walusimbi, a boy who was fascinated by the uniform
and worked up the courage to go and talk to the policeman.

3.'Uganda Army soldiers practising for King Freddy's funeral with British
Grenadier Guards'.This must have been the last act of military cooperation
between Amin's Uganda and Britain. Sir Edward was a Captain in the Grenadier
Guards, an honour that was accorded to him by King George VI who also
recalled that his father, Daudi Chwa II, was also a Captain in the British
Army.Actually the late Kabaka Mutesa's commission was not an honor, he
actually took the officer course before being commissioned. He noted wryly
in his memoirs that the officer course cured him of an old habit of being
late. Kabaka Daudi Chwa's commission, received during the 1st World war, was
honorary.
