North Kivu: locality Kikingi controlled by Ugandan rebels of the ADF Nalu

Ugandan rebels of the ADF-Nalu control, since Sunday, July 14, the town of
Kikingi, located in the area of Rwenzori group more or less 90 km north-east
of the town of Beni (North Kivu).According to civil society Beni, Ugandan
rebels and their Somali allies of al Shabaab already committed acts of
looting and killings of civilians in the town, after having ousted the Armed
Forces of the DRC (FARDC).

According to the same sources, the military in small numbers have dropped to
Kikingi after a brief exchange of fire with the rebels.

The President of the Civil Society of Beni, Teddy Kataliko indicates that
the attackers were defeated, 48 hours ago in Kamango by the military.

Teddy Kataliko accuses the rebels and their allies want to cut off all
supplies to the army from the town of Kikingi, where she launched an assault
on the town of Kamango (North Kivu).

Contacted officials say the first sector of the FARDC have taken all
measures to neutralize the attackers and the security of this

Saturday, July 13, security services said they found nine bodies of
civilians and the head of group Bwisa, performed by ADF Nalu and their
allies Kamango (North Kivu).

After fierce fighting, the Congolese Armed Forces (FARDC) were recovered
last Friday, the locality of the hands of the rebels. Approximately 30,000
people have fled to Uganda to escape the violence, according to humanitarian
