Beni: civil society fears a Ugandan rebel attack against several cities

Civil society Beni accuses Ugandan rebel ADF / NALU prepare an attack
against several cities of the country. According to its president Teddy
Kataliko, for three days the rebels reinforced their positions around the
town of Beni and the city Oicha.

Sources of civil society indicate that since Sunday evening a group of
Ugandan rebels were positioned Kangwayi-Palmba, a village 25 km from the
town of Beni and 5 km from the city of Oicha.

According to the sources, another rebel group took Masulukwede position, 3
km from the airport Mavivi which are positioned troops MONUSCO.

Kataliko Teddy says that ADF / NALU prepare a simultaneous attack against
Beni Oicha and Mbau.

He called on Congolese soldiers and peacekeepers vigilance "to avoid any
surprises."

For his part, Colonel Richard Bisamaza, acting commander of the first sector
of the FARDC based in Beni, denies the presence of ADF / NALU in this area.
It provides that "the situation is under control of the army."

NALU took control and Mamundioma Totolito . These two cities are located
approximately 45 km from Beni.

Colonel Richard Bisamaza had reported twelve rebels and four soldiers killed
in fighting between the two sides.

For the president of the civil society of Beni, Ugandan rebels were allied
with Somali fighters from Al-Shabab to dislodge the FARDC these two
locations.Confirming this coalition between the two armed groups, Colonel
Richard Bisamaza spoke of a strategic retreat of his men.
