Friends
I have spent a couple of hours on PC tonight, it is about 4 30 am and
Toronto is quite. I need to post this story to all parents out there just
before I hit the bed sheet, and it is a story of a mother survived by 6 of 8
of her children, Marianne Theresa Johnson-Reddick of Nevada, that died on
August 30 and buried. At her funeral, her daughter Katherine Reddick on
behalf of the children stood up and read an obituary on behalf of all the
children. The children are stating today that she was the most abusive
mother any child will ever have. Here is the full text of the obituary from
the children towards their dead mother.
Good-morning all.
EM
On the 49th
Marianne Theresa John¬son- Reddick born Jan 4, 1935 and died alone on Sept.
30, 2013. She is sur¬vived by her 6 of 8 children whom she spent her
lifetime torturing in every way pos¬sible. While she neglected and abused
her small chil¬dren, she refused to allow anyone else to care or show
compassion towards them. When they became adults she stalked and tortured
anyone they dared to love. Everyone she met, adult or child was tortured by
her cruelty and exposure to violence, criminal activity, vulgarity, and
hatred of the gentle or kind human spirit.
On behalf of her children whom she so abrasively ex¬posed to her evil and
vio¬lent life, we celebrate her passing from this earth and hope she lives
in the after¬life reliving each gesture of violence, cruelty, and shame that
she delivered on her children. Her surviv¬ing children will now live the
rest of their lives with the peace of knowing their nightmare finally has
some form of closure.
Most of us have found peace in helping those who have been exposed to child
abuse and hope this message of her final passing can re¬vive our message
that abus¬ing children is unforgive¬able, shameless, and should not be
tolerated in a hu¬mane society. Our greatest wish now, is to stimulate a
national movement that mandates a purposeful and dedicated war against child
abuse in the United States of America.

Story behind scathing obituary revealed
Reported by: Terri Hendry
RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- There is an unusual obituary that
appeared in the Reno Gazette-Journal that has gone viral. It is scathing and
is written "on behalf of the children." The obituary is for Marianne Theresa
Johnson-Reddick, who was born January 4, 1935 and died August 30, 2013. The
obituary had a typo saying Johnson-Reddick died Sept. 30, 2013.
Among other things, the obituary claims she "tortured" her children and that
they "celebrated her passing." Many are asking if this obituary is real and
what is the story behind it. News 4 did some digging and found the obituary
is, in fact, real.
Marianne Theresa Johnson-Reddick was a resident of Reno. She had eight
children, six of whom are still living. One of her sons lives in our area.
He declined an on-camera interview, but said the obituary was submitted
online by a sister in Texas.
This family's story is also a piece of Nevada history. Marianne Theresa
Johnson-Reddick's children lived in a foster home in Carson City. The
obituary marked an ending to a chapter for the Reddick family, but just a
block away from the foster home, you can see the dome of the Nevada Supreme
Court where there was a ruling in the 70s that parents' rights usurped
children's rights, and the case stems from the children of this obituary.
A few years later, the Reddick's story of their mother's abuse came to then
state senator Sue Wagner. She introduced legislation that was eventually
adopted, allowing children to terminate parental rights.
The Reddicks aren't willing to share their story of abuse publicly, but they
did leave a positive mark for children facing their situation.
