This s not a psychiatrist issue this is a massive national problem we have of
ignorance and lack of education, and I am not on reading books education,
because you have heard about this today does not mean it is the only girl let
alone child going through this in Uganda. I had a battle in Uganda net of
Acholis selling kids into Buganda to work as baby sitters, this was a very
booming business. Many little girls were being ferried out of camps into
Buganda to work as baby sitters and many were ending up abused let alone raped.
But so were the boys who have filled the part in Buganda that Rwandese filled,
look at all security guards in Buganda why real of them Acholi kids? For they
replaced the Rwandese in a Muganda home. Have they been abused? You tell me.
There is a particular Acholi woman I went after that was packing them into a
bus and bringing them down Kampala, and those in Uganda net might remember this
battle I was fighting. We have some serious issues in our country that need a
macro and micro attack. What we have to be very careful about is using the
solutions we have in these societies to think they can work in Uganda and trust
me I can load you a 777 air bus of psychiatrists to Uganda and you will not
change a God damn thing. Get to understand the Uganda The Movement has created
before you do a prognosis, for trust me Uganda is way fucked up than many of
you believe.

Man, wife held over burning girl’s private parts
Police in Mayuge are holding a man and his wife for allegedly burning their
daughter’s private parts. The duo are said to have acted on suspicion that
their 15-year-old daughter had started to engage in sexual activity.
The suspects, both residents of Nakalanga Village in Bukatube Sub-county Mayuge
District, reportedly burnt their daughter last week using firewood.
According to the acting district police commander, Mr Sam Epira, the two were
arrested on Thursday after concerned neighbours reported the cruel punishment
to police. The Primary Four pupil has since been nursing wounds at Mayuge
Health Centre III where she is undergoing treatment.
Mr Epira told this newspaper at the weekend, that the couple had admitted to
burning the child, saying they had to give the girl a severe punishment for her
actions. “It was not fair that this girl had started ‘seeing’ men especially
that we had been struggling to see her through school. We had severally
cautioned her and it was time we acted,” the couple said.
Mr Epira told Daily Monitor there was no justification for giving the girl such
a punishment, adding the duo would be charged in court with child abuse and
causing grievous bodily harm when investigations are complete.
Meanwhile police in Mayuge are holding a 50-year-old man over alleged incest.
