I have struggled to save Uganda community from this shame way long that I
need you to post my today’s official “I told you so on UNAA” why? Because
you saw all my lamentations many and very many years ago.

We seriously did not need to reach this embarrassment for the writing has
always been on the wall. What do we do from here? Just shut the crap down.
And I am going to raise one new thing, we have a right to protect our
reputation, this nonsense can continue on if they drop the name of Uganda,
if they don’t, some of us are looking for legal ways to force them to do so.
Look do you see all those that resigned they are coming back or creating a
new sensation they have done it always, how many times has Mulera resigned?

Friends the name Uganda belongs to all of us, drop it and use something else
or this nonsense will be shut down and Federally.

Reverend Kamugisha:

So there are two parallel UNAA conventions in San Diego? Remind those
calling UNAA BOT members old guard that they could fall foul of
anti-discrimination laws. Tell them to read the relevant laws before they
get in trouble.

Ugandans are crooks irrespective of where they live. To paraphrase, you can
take them out of Uganda, but you cannot take corruption and greed out of
them. At a broader level, UNAA wrangle are exhibit A as to why Uganda is in
the state or shit it is in. To see well educated and cosmopolitan folks
behaving like idiots is a real shame.

I hope Ugandans learn some vital lessons from UNAA wrangles. Folks, Ugandans
hate the word accountability.

Madame IPPP, Rosette Sserwanga:

It is quite obvious that even before the UNAA BoT announced their
resignation, President, Brian Kwesiga, had already stripped you of your
constitutional powers which mandates you to select the Venue, Date and Day
of the UNAA Annual General Meeting [AGM]

It is on record on these forums that Brian started started announcing the
venue of the "AGM" before he later hijacked the official name of the meeting
and re-baptized it "Special meeting" In your capacity as a member of the
UNAA BoT, how did you feel when you saw or read what Brian Kwesiga posted
regarding the so called "Special meeting" which is scheduled to be held at
the Hyatt hotel?

While i have your attention, would you please clarify as to which member of
the BoT recorded the official deliberations of the BoT and later licked the
video clip through Kwesiga's attack dog, the infamous "Chris Kayoshe?" How
ethical, professional was that action?

Thank you in advance!

 Kamugisha

You are missing the point, there is no younger generation running UNAA. Plus
since when does being young translates into good leadership? You are trying
to sell us the same coolaid that young is good - maybe young is just that
young and not ready think of that.

Also a different side of old guard as you called them are with the same
desires as you stated are running the organization. The current executive is
a proxy and mouth of the obvious.

Open your eyes you might see what i am talking about!

Hello Afande Salongo Frank Musisi!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and observations.

Remember that saying: empty tins make the loudest noises!!

Just stay tuned - the truth will always come out.

When the dust settles attendees of San Diego "conventions" will be able to
distinguish between facts and fiction.

We will miss you IPPPP but hopefully you will be there for 2015.

God Bless You

Bwana Ronnie Mayanja,

Thank you for sending this link to the Monitor article writen by Dr Muniini
Mulera to our attention. I must put a disclaimer here before I write my
comments that I don't belong to or speak for either UNAA or UNAA Causes.

However, I find the article to be one sided and misleading to those without
deep and long understanding of UNAA issues. I would have expected Mr.
Muniini Muleera in his article to disclose to his readers the following:

1) He is the Chairman of the UNAA Board of Trustees (BoT). Which BoT has
been part of the problem in all this mess (intrigue and infighting).

2) He is part of the Old Guard. Which old guard has refused to give away
leadership to young leaders in the community. This old guard is driven by
the desire to hang on UNAA power despite the demand by the UNAA members and
voters to have a new generation of leadership.

3) The stand of BoT on UNAA Causes. UNAA BoT sent an email announcing UNAA
Annual General Meeting (AGM) without giving us UNAA members the venue, time
and place of the AGM?

4) He does not disclose his role in UNAA Causes. Reading his article all
indication are that he's marketing UNAA Causes. He could have signed off as
Dr. Mulera, "Publicity Chairperson UNAA Causes"

Mr. Muniini Muleera is very right when he states that, "UNAA has been
plagued by corruption, lack of accountability and persistent allegations
that some individuals use the annual conventions to engage in personal
financial gain at the expense of the association". But he forgets to mention
the fact that he has always been with the same group he's now trying to
distance himself from.

I think both groups (UNAA and UNAA Causes) have made mistakes but their
issues are not so big as Muniini tells us that they can not be worked out
under the same tent. To me it seems it is about egos, corruption, greed and
hungry for UNAA power and UNAA leadership control that is pitting the two
groups. The blunder was made in 2010 when the two groups now fighting each
other amended UNAA Constitution without consultation to the entire UNAA
membership, that is the cause of the problems. They created offices (UNAA
BoT and UNAA Council) without any framework of how they would operate.
Instead of looking for opportunities to promote the organization, UNAA the
two groups concentrated on organizing the conventions. UNAA cannot and
should not be about conventions, it is lack of good leadership and
understanding their roles.

I personally would not prophesize doom in San Diego this coming labor day
weekend. In fact I would look at the bigger picture and say that if both
sides could pull the largest number of attendants it will be good for our
community in future. When the dust settles and cooler heads prevail over the
two groups all these "UNAA" and "UNAA Causes" will coalesce back to one UNAA
and the world will not end. I predict that you will see one UNAA come next
year because the trend for the two groups is unsustainable in the long run.

One question I would like to pose to UNAA is, "How can UNAA Causes organize
the convention and charge $245.00 for both the boat and registration and
your prices are way too high?". I think with this you will have to do some
explanation to the UNAA membership?

I may or may not attend any of the San Diego conventions (UNAA or UNAA
Causes) but I expect to see a strong UNAA after the two conventions
involving Ugandans in North America. I therefore would like wish all those
attending the conventions good fun and enjoy.

Sincerely,

Musese-Musisi
