No I deny nothing from what Allan Barigye is posting, what I have an issue with is posting it out of context. When you look closely at what Barigye is posting, he picks a paragraph here and there leaving out the context in which the piece was written. Now I am not going to spend time defending what I posted for it stands a million times. What I am going to remind people is a single realization many of us have reached as of today. You see in as much as some of us want to push this country to a democratic society, UPC members still feed on the violence cycle that they were born but fade into, but they feel it is for life. There are many friends that have advised me to abandon UAH, for the forum has seriously become useless. There is a language used that no parent needs his/her kid to read, so the argument was very simple, EM what do you lose when you abandon the forum now that it has failed to be moderated and all crap just pisses through? And my response to them and to all members of the forum is very simple. In as much as the UAH owners have failed to moderate the forum, to stop bad language but abusiveness to pass, in as much as UAH forum owners have decided to allow such language that can even raise ears of the intelligence community in these societies to the forum, some of us still believe that UAH Is a forum that is useful. For look at the series and what it has achieved. And do you know what it is? The series of Acholi violence has actually raised two major issues among Ugandan community, {a} Ugandans now know that the violence they saw on road blocks from Acholi soldiers was never targeted to Baganda but it was a violence inflicted on Baganda by Acholi for Acholi were created violent as a people. {b} When you look closely at the manner UPC members have taken a stand on any discussion on that series, at minimum Ugandans have reached a point to realize that UPC as a party is entrenched but survived into violence. The members of UPC do not have time to discuss the violence that happened but protect it and go after Amin, they do not understand that UNLF was a disaster to all Uganda’s, they do not understand that murdering West Nilers was wrong for to UPC as a party Banubbi are none Ugandans, UPC as a party does not understand that Alurs and Lugbaras are Ugandans that deserve a right to live freely, UPC as a party does not understand that Obote two government was a disaster in our country let alone The Tito Okello government but a Museveni government which is a true replica of UPC. When a series manages to naked the facts on a party in that manner, critical thinkers define it as a success. The series is at minimum waking up UPC members as yourself, George Okello, Allan Barigye, Edward Pojim to pose your selves publicly what you believe on violence in our country and you have done so well by defending it. The series will continue for it expected way less that that kind of achievement. And this posting is not a debate but a statement so I am not going to go at it again, don’t bother asking questions from UPC University for I will neither read nor respond. When you state that Acholi murdered people in Luwero you can never state that NRA murdered people in Luwero yet both statements are true. And look closely at a very shallow reasoning Barigye is using, Barigye is stating that if you defended Acholi for the crimes committed to them by NRA, you can never state that Acholi themselves are violent people, yet both statements are true. And I have repeatedly reminded many here that the kind of education UPC pumped into our people must be erased from our country, for it taught them a shallow reasoning that functions only in a Uganda government office. And that is why you see that at a time when I was posting the notes about violence in Acholi region, many UPC members kept on labeling me a true UPC man, for to their shallow tight reasoning, any one raising the suffering of Acholi must be a UPC member. And that means if Acholi are violent you cover it up for you are a UPC member. Go back at what I responded with at their call for me to be a UPC member, I said that I cannot belong to a Uganda political party, for it will shut me off. I need a right to point out a right but point out a wrong, and our people are too uncivilized to do so. That is why when you are a UPC member and Acholi murder each other in camps, you blame Uganda Army and Iddi Amin. You never stand up to state that Acholi are violent people even though the entire scholar class at international level has stated so. And look Barigye has been consistent that Amin killed people, so that is his position, but to him stating that UNLF murdered people after 1979, that is a change of position for you can only say that Amin killed people even though it is true UNLA also killed people. Akim Odong it is very possible for an Acholi soldier to attack Nsubuga that does not mean a Muganda soldier can never attack you. Your reasoning by responding that way, is a very sad reasoning only belonging to a three piece suit man in a UPC government office. It just bothers me to understand what kind of garbage education UPC pumped into these friends. Geez !!!!!!! Contrast this with Betty Kamya who has decided to that it's time she went back to her old seat of Rubaga North where her former constituents feel they need her service as MP, and she has therefore decided that she will step down so that the party may nominate a new leader. She stated that she would like to see the leadership handed to a capable hand much firmer than hers. I can assure you that the party is well placed to select such a leader who will go on to galvanise the opposition like none has done in the last twenty years. The second point and the most crucial is that Betty Kamya wants to see a change in the system of governance while Byesigye wants to carry on from where Mu7 will stop. Byesigye has not worked out that Uganda has failed not because of poor leadership but because of poor system of governance, for which he wants to see continued. Such visionless leader is one Ugandans should reject because they are not bringing anything new to the table. My praise goes out to Betty for her courage to step down and not cling on to the leadership like Mu7 and Byesigye have done. May she go on to win her old seat back, for the people of Rubaga, deserve better in this hard time. FDC can go hang! Akim Tolerance is a stage in civilisation! Beti was one of the cornerstones and a loyal party cadre until those misunderstandings developed, leading to her departure. It is understood that at the time, many mistakes where made by both the FDC party, but also Beti Kamya her self. As they say, "time heals wounds". Should Dr. Besigye succeed in being chosen as the coalition's flag bearer, we believe that the FDC party should transcend any barriers responsible for maintaining the division, and mend fences to allow Beti's return unconditionally. Of course the last decision rests with Beti her self, but we're sure she also realizes that the opposition is better off united than divided. Beti, you might argue against this, but you belongs with FDC, and your return will galvanize the process to uproot the disfunctional regime in power. We're sure your UFA policies and experience can be accommodated within the FDC party, but also the wider coalition.
