The most important limitation of perfsonar-like approaches for my use is that they require a Linux-machine at the customer-end of the connection. This is not really feasible with 1000+ lines. Router-vendors have not been very interested in adding measurement capabilities for this kind of thing. I suppose ethernet-OAM is the answer. /Benny
