Hi Cameron,
Currently it is not possible to parametrize test cases with ULCLoad.
Please have a look at http://www.canoo.com/ulc/products/ulcload.html,
section "Limitations of ULC Load".
You are right, we will do some major changes to ULCLoad by the end of
this year. The goal is to get rid of the before mentioned ULCLoad
limitations, e.g. parameterized load tests. Maybe we can even provide an
integration into existing load testing tools, e.g. JMeter.
Regards Dany

I would like to see ULC Load simply be a JMeter extension. I need to
performance test my application and part of it is a rich client using
ULC and the rest is a standard Java web application. I am able to
setup test cases in JMeter for the rest of the web application. It
would be great to be able to test the ULC part through it too.
I've been evaluating ULC Load today and it seems somewhat limited.
How do I paramaterize test cases? Another thread indicated that ULC
Load was undergoing some major changes late this year. Care to share
what some features might be?

Hi Marco,
ULC Contributions are not part of the ULC release. Hence they are not
guaranteed to be compatible with the latest release.
ULC Extension API has been streamlined in ULC 6.1. Most contributions
use
the ULC Extension API and some of them have become incompatible with ULC
6.1.
We will port community contributions to ULC 6.1 but there is no set
timeframe.
I tried the JMeter integration with ULC 6.1. There are deeper issues
than
mere replacement of deprecated or deleted methods. JMeter integration
uses
lot of low level APIs (e.g. Anything) from ULC to be able to display the
requests and their contents. As part of performance improvement and
custom
object support in ULC 6.1, the Anything API has been changed. This
has badly
affected the JMeter Integration and it will take some effort to make it
compatible with ULC 6.1.
So, if you need JMeter Integration urgently, we will be happy to make
you an
offer.
Thanks and regards,
Janak

I get following error:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
com.ulcjava.base.shared.internal.Anything.slotName(I)Ljava/lang/String;
at
com.canoo.ulc.community.jmeter.RequestArrayTreeBuilder.createAnythingNode(Un
known
Source)
...........
The methode Anything.slotName is in ulc6.1 not available anymore.
Has anybody a workaround or can Canoo/Daniel Grob offer a ulc6.1
version?
Thx a lot
Marco
