Hi Torsten

The content type is needed to determine the associated program on the client
(e.g., the PdfFileProvider and PdfMemoryProvider set the mime type to
"application/pdf").

If you want the client to determine the correct program based on the file
extension you can provide "application/octet-stream" as a mime-type. Note
however that the mechanism of the community contribution always uses
/download?id=... as a URL to fetch the file (without specifying any file
extension). You would need to adapt this to something like
/download/filename.xyz .

Does this answer your question?

Cheers
Rolf

Subject: [ULC-developer] showDocument without defined contenttype

Hello

I want to show a server document on client side and for this i want to open the
associated editor/programm(client) for this file on the client. Which content
type do i have to set for this. I use the FileResourceProvider from the
community.
