Hi Carsten,

When do you loose the umlauts? When you read them from the resource bundle or when you transfer them to the client-side? Or in other words: do you see the umlauts in System.out.println("") on the server-side (i.e. in your application) or not? ULC does nothing special to umlauts. They are transfered to the client-side as a Unicode request, therefore you should not loose them because of ULC.

Regards Dany

Hi,
i'm using the java localization technology with resourcebundles. Some of my key-value pairs has umlauts (ä,ü,ö) as part of the string. My app does not display these umlauts in a correct manner. Found nothing on developer list or other guides... Any hints? Regards, Carsten
