I didn't see anything in the message archives about this. I was wondering if anyone had done an observer/observable relationship over ULC. The two classes I'm using are java.util.Observable and (interface) java.util.Observer The observable is a list on the server side of usernames, and the observer is implemented on a class that extends ULCFrame. It's supposed to show the users currently logged into the system. When I use the observer/observable pair I'm able to open the applet on one of the machines, and it shows the windows and list of usernames correctly. Then when I go to open it on another computer none of my dialogs appear.
I was previously using a ULCPollingTimer and polling the list of usernames for updates, but a coworker suggested the Observer/Observable pair for better performance. Is polling the only way to accomplish the result I'm looking for? Thanks, Joe __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
