Hi Eugene, Java SE 6 supports JComponents as tabs on JTabbedPane, but ULC does not support Swing API from Java 6 yet.
For now, to make JTabbedPane closeable, you need to extend it. To make ULCTabbedPane closeable you need to extend it and on the client side use the extended JTabbedPane as the underlying basic widget. How to extend ULC widgets is described in ULC Extension Guide. If you wish, Canoo can make an offer to implement it for you.
