Hi Christoph, setMargin() is not an API on JComboBox hence it is not provided on ULCComboBox.
There was a problem with margin in JRE 1.4 (see the link below) which has been fixed in JRE 1.5: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4773496 You will see a marked improvement if you run with JRE 1.5. There are several solutions suggested here: http://www.codeguru.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=285612 One option is to do an extension. Myabe on basic combobox get the editor which should be a text field and set margin on textfield. Another is to define a cell renderer for the renderer combobox. I hope this helps.
