We are happy to be able to state that the show of cattle, of all kinds
was very much improved since last year. The members present dined
together in Mr. FLOYD'S hotel, Mr. FLETCHER in the chair. After a most
comfortable plain dinner, the evening was spent in discussing the
different improvements in agriculture and the breed of cattle. Several
challenges were given and accepted, particularly in turnips, which
appear to be splendid in this district and much increased in quantity.

Tirkeeran Farming Society in Connection with the Royal agricultural
Improvement Society of Ireland

On Wednesday last, the first cattle show of this society was held at
the Waterside, in a field, the property of Mr. MEHAN. Thirty-two lots

them, with the exception, perhaps, of the swine and a few of the
sheep, unworthy of public exhibition.

HAMILTON, after a careful inspection, returned the following decision.
