Wow that sucked (my encoding)... let me try plaintext this time.... duhhh...
Patrick, Depending on your Gateway model, chances are it's a propietary power supply specifically designed for that Gateway model's chassis. Your best bet is to look for the old power supply and get a Gateway Part Number (P/N) from it if you can. Or, if you have the original invoice (if you ordered it online, gateway might still let you view it), you should be able to go to gateway's support site to find out the part numbers that went into your PC, if it was custom built. I will apologize in advance if you already tried this and I didn't read it... but if you want a "perfect" power supply, the best place to get it from is from the manufacturer itself. One other option if gateway doesn't sell them anymore, is that you might be able to just google the gateway model number and put in "power supply", because some third party vendors will sell you power supplies and say "compatible with IBM P/N ______ Gateway _____" etc... But the modder option, of course, is to just cut things out... wouldn't really be my approach, but then again, buying a propietary case wouldn't either. Let us know how it goes ;) Ashish
