Last time I made a try at it, I upgraded to the lastest kernel.  Whenever I try to suspend to memory, it resumes and then the video promptly screws itself- looks like one of those TV-test signals, actually.  Unfortunately, this happens with both the F/OSS NVidia driver and the proprietary one.  Suspend to disk (S4) is even worse.  It appears to save the RAM to disk, then it doesn't turn-off!  It just switches back to my console in X like I didn't do anything.

Anybody seen anything like that?

I have sleep/etc working well, but on a ThinkPad X40, which seem to have
better support for these things.  I had to update to the latest kernel
to get stuff right... might work for you.
