Hi; I know it sounds lame, but I have never had anything but dialup at home before.
I called up verizon and it sounds like they have a pretty decent deal on DSL, but the sales person said verizon only support mac and windows. She said they basically mail me a dsl modem. I am running a copy of knoppix installed to my hard drive at home, about a year old. What do I need to know to get DSL running on it? Do I need to install a firewall? If so, what do I do? All of this is totally new to me. Thanks Steve
