Hi; I'm running an old copy of knopix ( Debian gnu/linux derivative ) at home.
I live in Takoma Park. Verizon told me they can't give me DSL, which means no one else can as other phone companies are basically wrapper classes for Verizon. Cable hook ups with Comcast or RCN are options for me. Are there others? I'm looking to offset the costs of a cable hookup by getting internet telephone service ( no fees ). Is there a cheap/good company in the area? I'm looking for unlimited local calls under $20 a month. Thanks much for any information Steve
