Hello,
Recently, I installed a version of RH9 and had problems with launching the
gui. The only option I had was to log in at local host. I repaired that
problem by setting up my monitor and video card using xconfig or something
like that. Forgive me, I'm relatively new to Linux. The only complaint I
have is that I have to log in and then use startx to run kde. I like
leanring and working form the command line, but I would like to know how
to change that to auto start KDE. Where should I look to resolve this
problem. Any help would be appreciated?
After hearing all the responses, it also seems like it would be a good
idea to install Fedora Core 5 instead of using RH9. It seems that there
is no longer any supoort for RH9 unless I have a misconception about
support. I wont uninstall RH9 until the semester is over. I neeed this
machine for homework.
