Hi John,

Would you be interested in hearing from Symantec about the company's strategy for Linux?  Symantec could provide you with a contributed article–for publication in your newsletter—or a speaker for an upcoming meeting.  Symantec executives could cover several topics, including the migration of data between different operating systems, and the associated cost savings of automating the process. Alternatively, executives could talk about the trend in the enterprise storage market of moving toward open source, Linux-based systems, and the advantages of cluster file systems that operate over multiple platforms.  Please let me know if you have an interest in either the article or the speaking opportunity

Also, as you may know Symantec recently announced availability of its Storage Foundation family of products that work on a Linux platform.  Veritas Storage Foundation Basic is a free version of Storage Foundation designed specifically for edge-tier servers, which makes it easier and more affordable for enterprises to reap the benefits of standardizing their data center infrastructure, providing visibility and control over complext data center storage environments.  Additional product information can be found at http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/sfbasic/index.jspSymantec can talk with you more about SF Basic and its product development strategy for Linux.

Please let me know if any of these options meet your needs.

Best,

Emily
