Shawn,
Pleased to meet you. I for one would love to hear more about virtualizing
through Xen! I imagine with your involvement at RH, there are plenty of
presentations and/or workshops you could be involved with that would be of
value.

Subject: [UM-LINUX] Hello
Hey Guys,
I work for Red Hat as a Solutions Architect. That's really just a fancy
title for someone that comes into customer meetings and shows them how to use
Linux. I found you guys be googling "linux LUGs."
I wanted to reach out to you guys to introduce myself, and offer a
connection point into Red Hat. My role within Red Hat is within the Federal
teams; it's my job to work with government Agencies on Open Source projects,
gearing things towards the usage of RHEL. I've previously created the
standard RHEL4 load now used at the National Security Agency, as well as
partnered with IBM virtualizing RHEL on super computers.
I noticed in the archives that you guys put out a call for presentations in
October. Is there anything that you guys would be interested in hearing
about? If interested, some topics I could offer up:
* RHEL Usage within the Government. How & why NSA chose Red Hat.
* Securing Top Secret information through SELinux and RHEL
* Implementing Global Cluster Solutions
* Virtualizing through Xen
* ...... whatever you want. Shout out some ideas!
Just for the record, I'm not a salesman -- any presentations would be
strictly technical. I just wanted to reach out to the community and see if
there is any interest.
Regards,
Shawn
