Don't forget that we've got a meeting tomorrow night!

Also, I've had a few people notify me of their intent to run for various
positions- great. Remember, the deadline for notifying me is this
Saturday. I would like anyone who is interested in running (whether they
have notified me or not) to come a bit early to the meeting. I'll be there
by 6:15.

Introduction to Grail

Abstract:

Grails is a programming language meant for the lazy programmer. No, not
really. It does, however, try to simplify the development of a web
application by sticking to the paradigm of ?coding by convention? to
increase productivity levels without the steep learning curve. It removes
many of the mundane details of web development and adds more excitement to
the development process with its dynamic framework. This presentation
focuses on creating and deploying a working web application from bottom up
with emphasis on the conventions that are being followed as well as how it
is integrated with Java. I will be going in depth with the development
environment automatically generated by Grails and customizing the code to
create our own unique application.
