I've seen many, many complaints about Fedora 8. Many were people who were upgrading from a previous version. What was your situation and how have you found it overall?

AFS access and how to use it. It's great being able to access your AFS

At one point, I set up AFS on my computer to access shares at MIT. The
setup was a pain, and my processes froze uninterruptibly every time the
wireless network blipped. Now I just copy files as needed using rsync
over ssh.

umd-secure for wireless, getting it set up under network manager (or
just with wpa_supplicant) is a total pain.

FWIW, my computer with the latest Fedora 8 packages connects to
umd-secure just fine, although I was having problems before winter
break.
