This came across my desk recently. That "required travel to client
sites" pretty much means you will be a gun-for-hire for these guys.
However, work experience is work experience and a job is a job. Maybe

Systems Architect
Job Summary:
The Systems Architect will serve as a technical expert in implementing
solutions and providing services to assist customers in maximizing
energy
and operational efficiencies through data center virtualization and
automation. Solutions will be based on innovative software used for
automating the power management of servers while pooling data center
resources to increase the availability of applications and improve
server
workload management. The Systems Architect will be required to
interact with
customers' technical and operational staff to identify business needs
and
translate into technical specifications. This position will also play
a lead
role in the implementation and on-going services related to the
solutions
identified. The ideal candidate will be a generalist with experience
with
multiple operating systems, storage environments, networks and
applications.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
. Three (3) - five (5) years experience as a systems administrator or
systems architect in a Linux/Unix environment is required.
. Knowledge and experience administering various server platforms
(e.g., Linux, Solaris, Windows).
. Ability to work with technical and application specialists to
identify business needs and defining required service levels.
. Experience working in a data center environment.
. Experience with VMware, Xen or other virtualization software is
strongly preferred.
. In-depth knowledge and experience with networking concepts and
configuration.
. In-depth knowledge and experience with storage solutions (e.g., SAN,
NAS).
Working Conditions:
. Office and data center environment
. Required travel to client sites in the Washington DC/Baltimore area
. Ability to sit and work at computer for an extended period
. Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
