The lounge site has been down a lot ever since the storage
requirements got huge: >2 GB for the once-tiny database due to
spammers. Whenever the server (data center) loses power, which has
happened a lot lately, someone needs to scrape together disk space so
that Zope/Plone will start up. Even freeing space isn't working now,
and I neither know how to fix it nor care to spend much time finding
out. Is anyone interested in bringing lounge.cs back or
making/maintaining a simple webpage for UMLUG? We can always redirect
to a static page.

I think the Paypal button is still tied to whoever was maintaining
that site in 2007. I'm pretty sure no current students have access to
that web space or the Paypal e-mail; I've just requested write access
for the website, so I can at least take the old button down.

I'm the treasurer as far as SGA is concerned. (We have some money this
year for hardware upgrades.)

Things UMLUG does: 1) mailing list 2) http://mirror.umoss.org/ 3)
basic web/DNS hosting for a small number of student groups. I think
the last in-person meeting was about a year and a half ago.

We haven't made any attempt at selecting officers for the coming
school year. If anyone is interested in bringing UMLUG back, post here
or e-mail [email protected]!
