I'm not so sure about the packages being used in different distros. I did
development mainly in Backtrack 3, which was well-suited for development and
had everything pre-installed. Ubuntu requires libbluetooth-dev. I was
looking at CentOS just out of curiosity and found that the bluetooth headers
were installed only with the package bluez-libs-devel-3.7-1.1.arch.

I think at this stage, since users have to build, it might be safer to have
development versions of the libraries, so libbluetooth-dev is a safer
option.

Would be very interested to see if it works under Ubuntu 10.04. We were
thinking that an updated kernel with updated bluetooth libraries might
affect the functionality of the BTSniffer. A quick test would be to see if
Frontline works on Ubuntu 10.04.
