I realized that i haven't introduced myself at my first email. I had attended GSoC 2011 and finished the Web based visualization for malwares around the earth for Honeynet project. I am a computer engineering Ph.D student from Turkey. Because of my subject that is anomaly detection at the network through security visualization, i had applied Honeynet, last year. This year i was looking for something that can be usefull for me at the work. I am working as system administrator at the university IT head office and thought that i can even use the site status page for our web sites, hosted at our servers also. It may be good to publish the status (reachabilitiy, disk & CPU information, load information, link status, response time, admin messages, etc.) of the main university site and/or the sites at the subdomains. I have been using Python over 4 years, still doing web stuff with Django, so Python is my default language for daily life. I have experince with socket programming, network protocols, web development (including web services), server side scripting. I was working on some questions at my head about the solution for Site Status project. Checked the google app engine, what can be done, etc. It seems i am quiete ready for a proposal :) Cheers. -- Oguz Yarimtepe <[email protected]> http://about.me/oguzy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF email is sponsosred by: Try Windows Azure free for 90 days Click Here http://p.sf.net/sfu/sfd2d-msazure _______________________________________________ Umit-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/umit-devel
