The next step, I guess, is to add something like this to the top of perl.bat: ping -n 120 localhost > nul This will sleep for two minutes before attempting to install Perl. As a last resort, perhaps we can arrange to fire up a cmd prompt while the Perl install is running. Although that is almost too ugly to contemplate.
