Search for a possibility to block drive letter c (e.g. use fdisk to assign
drive letter c to a unused partition or check for boot order in the BIOS).

But, why do you want to install XP on the d: drive? My experience in the
past with Windows XP installations on a driver letter different to c:
result in a lot of problems with third party device drivers (e.g.
Bluetooth drivers from Logitech). There are still some vendors using
hardcoded values for the Systemdrive instead of variables.

Kind regards Thomas
