Well, IPA needs to go together as long as those "unfortunate unifications"
still exist. (-;
But for mathematics, mathematicians will haphazardly mix Latin variables
and Greek ones. In my groups class this last semester, rho, theta, chi,
m, r and d were the common variable names. (I used thorn once, but that's
not a common practice among mathematicians.) Note that TeX has included
Greek from the start in Computer Modern.
Has anyone ever made a character collection for mathematics?
