IE 6.0:
- All boxes
- When I manually set the Code2001 font for the "Latin-based" [sic!]
   scripts, I see empty boxes for plane-1 characters, and a special
   Code2001 specific, kind of small boxes for the plane-0 PUA ones.
- When I manually set the Code2000 font for the "Latin-based" scripts,
   I see empty boxes for Plane-1 characters, and the correct Tengwar
   characters for the plane-0 PUA ones.
You may wish to specify the Code2001 font for the plane-1 characters,
and Code2000 for the plane-0 PUA characters, as exenplified in
<http://www.geocities.com/i18nguy/unicode-example-plane1.html>.

Netscape 6.2:
- Plane-1 UTF-8: question marks;
   plane-1 NCRs: wrong characters, mostly CHARACTER TIE, DOUBLE HIGH
                  REVERSED 9 QUOTATION MARK and QUESTION MARK and
                  other punctuation
   plane-0 PUA UTF-8: Correct Tengwar characters
- When I set the fonts for both Unicode and User-defined to Code2001:
   no change.
- When I set the fonts for both Unicode and User-defined to Code2000:
   no change.
When a character is missing in the selected font, both Netscape 4.7
and 6 search all available fonts for a suitable glyph.

Opera 6.0:
- Plane-1 UTF-8: wrong characters, mostly Braille patterns and
                  geometric forms;
   plane-1 NCRs:  Correct Tengwar characters;
   plane-0 PUA UTF-8: open boxes
- When I set the fonts for "normal" text to Code2001:
   Plane-1 UTF-8: no change
   plane-1 NCRs:  Correct Tengwar characters;
   plane-0 PUA UTF-8: Code2001-specific small boxes
- When I set the fonts for "normal" text to Code2000:
   Plane-1 UTF-8: no change
   plane-1 NCRs, and plane-0 PUA UTF-8: Correct Tengwar characters;

Best wishes,
   Otto Stolz
