I am inclined to object strongly to any proposal that the Unicode
Consortium should host a list for discussing the PUA. It has the potential
to be perceived as a place to discuss normative use of the PUA as defined
by the Consortium. It would be a very simple matter for anybody to create a
list on Yahoo or some similar service. That would offer all the benefits
mentioned, but not this:

which I do not see as a benefit.
