PostgreSQL seems to be available for Mac OS X. See http://www.postgresql.org/ and http://developer.apple.com/internet/macosx/postgres.html PostgreSQL has supported UTF-8 since 7.1 and it's not likely that it's limited to BMP. Jungshik
