I remember being told by someone a few years back that I should limit my use of UTF-8 on the Unicode list, due to the inability of some list members' e-mail software to handle it.
You always have the choice of being a UTF-8 purist - OR - getting your point across. Notice that we don't publish the standard as UTF-8 files, but in PDF (where we can make sure we control what people get to see, so our message gets across ;-).
