You can download Unibook (http://www.unicode.org/unibook/) and set up your 
fonts for the ranges. That's the way The Unicode Standard code charts are 
displayed and printed.

be used to show text stored in Unicode.  Which gives???

Ilya
Murray suggested Unibook to show the "contents of" not "contents encoded in" Unicode. The tool simply produces the code charts.
