I believe Shamim's explanation of why Zlist conflicts is correct.
My main reflection on this problem report is: we need a more gentle failure mode than "bus error" if loadfunc() can't do its job. Kostas, do you happen to know if the same bug occurs in Icon loadfunc()? If not, Gregg's presumably fixed it already and I need to go compare the code and back in his fix. If it does reproduce, maybe it is worth fixing for both Icon and Unicon.
