I am always interested in new "killer applications" for Unicon, and will
do what I can to help those of you with your own killer Unicon applications.
One recent Unicon-related project that started up here at NMSU is a virtual
computer science community: a persistent multiuser interactive cartoonlike
3D environment for software development and computer science education.
Our initial effort is modeling NMSU's Science Hall 1st floor and serves a CS
education role, but I see the tool being potentially useful to the Unicon
community and others down the road.
Some of the preliminary plans and demos can be seen at
http://www.cs.nmsu.edu/~jeffery/vcsc/
I would be happy to discuss this project with any interested parties, and
would welcome assistance or partners. If any of you were thinking about
coming to NMSU and doing a Unicon-related M.S. or Ph.D. degree here, next
Fall would be a good time to do it. :-)
Cheers,
Clint
