I have always had unicon installed in c:\unicon and never in c:\Program Files\unicon

Thanks for the hint. I suspected something along those lines. I'll try "iconx myprogram" and let you know how it works. I repeat, the problem doesn't occur with Icon 9.3.2 and didn't occur in earlier versions of unicon. It's late now but I'll send news tomorrow (GMT+2 over here).
