Several days of poking around at the existing MacOS QuickDraw support
in the runtime system has proved incredibly depressing: on the one hand
MacOS X will currently support QD graphics, so it should be possible to
develop this support further, but on the other the move is definitely
towards replacing QD with the Quartz and Quartz 2D engines. Given that
the current QD support is far from complete it would make more sense to
pursue Quartz, but I'm not sure that Quartz is compatible with the
X-originated graphics model currently implemented by Unicon (at least
not without some performance penalties). Anyway I'll keep plugging away
at this a little longer and see if I can make some headway.
