Hugh,

This is a book bug, sorry about that, it is a reference from the earlier
(version 1) GUI class library that seems to have slipped through. I've
added a bug tracker entry for it on source forge.

Version 1 GUI's are still supported (link gui, don't import gui) for legacy
applications, but we've migrated most things to version 2 by now, and
I need to go back through the book to make sure everything gets updated.
