Thanks for the many excellent suggestions. I will especially take the ones
vis-a-vis the Help Wanted page to heart. One of our poster-child help wanted
topics of interest at present is the interface for calling C code. We've
improved a lot over Icon's mechanism, but have a ways to go to get where it
is as easy as writing
$C
insert_C_code_here(L, x);
$endC
or whatever. That particular item will be of great interest to some and not
to others. In my experience, volunteers work best when they are working on
something of personal interest. In any case, I'll update and add dates and
relevant info to the help wanted page, and mull over some of your other good
ideas.
