Dear Unicon-group,
I hope this new year finds you well.
Things have been pretty quiet lately, with myself and Kostas Oikonomou
doing lots of work on the Unicon book, and Jafar Al Gharaibeh working
furiously on improvements to his exciting concurrency facilities. Having
graduated recently, Jafar has been kind enough to provide a copy of his
dissertation for reference, which I will post shortly to the Unicon.org
site.
We had a message on the list recently which looks similar to a piece of
phishing spam; I will vigilantly guard the list, and if this happens more
than once a decade or so, we will become a moderated forum instead of a
members-only forum, but in the meantime, please be cautious about clicking
any links in e-mail messages!
If I had predictions for Unicon for 2013, I would wildly guess at:
* new binary distributions and increased documentation for Unicon 12,
* resumption of work on improving the C interface
* some interesting new work on collaborative software visualization
* a secret project will become less secret
* a search and a hire for a new grad student research assistant to help
advance the language.
What would you like to see happen with Unicon in the near future?
Cheers,
Clint Jeffery
