Hi Erez,

I have done some quick tests with unionfs-2.3.3_for_2.6.9-final and indeed no rpm database corruption so far!

However, firefox still doesn't start up with unionfs-2.3.3 (it's working with unionfs-1.1.5). But this problem is most probably unrelated to the "rpm database corruption" problem. I have to take a closer look before I can open a bugzilla report.

Conclusion: "it's working better now" and the "rpm database corruption" problem seems to be solved.

Thanks,

Ok, good to know.

If you can give an environment (e.g., livecd or vmware image) to reproduce
the firefox problem, I'll check it out.

Erez.

Hi Erez,

Here you can find the livecd images (both are about 230MB):

ftp://ftp.psi.ch/psi/livecd/pub/46/i386/mini_livecd_SL46_2008-04-10.iso (with unionfs 1.1.5) ftp://ftp.psi.ch/psi/livecd/pub/testing/mini_livecd_SL46_unionfs-2.3.3-2008-05-05.iso (with unionfs 2.3.3)

Thanks for you help!

   Urs
