Talking to people on IRC, it seems like that the sni protocol (which is
what is using in KDE/sni-qt) doesn't have a "mouseover" notion, not sure
what other solution could be used there :-/

  indicator problem

Status in Qt StatusNotifierItem plugin:

Bug description:
  I use qt4.8.4, and the development platform is ubuntukylin13.10.
  Sogou input method defines a menu on the indicator through QsystemTrayIcon. 
The signal:void QMenu::hovered(QAction*action) of the menu lost its efficacy in 
the unity desktop environment, but it’s effective in the cinnamon.The following 
two pictures are the same object, but there is no effect of hovered on the 
indicator
