The coop at 46th and Sansom (behind the old 7-11) apparently got dumped the other day, and the fence is down. The residents (the feathery ones) were wandering around the parking lot on Walnut street on Tuesday.


They are a fancy breed... not your Frank Perdue specials ... the rooster is one of the variety with the fully feathered legs, and is quite handsome. The hens basically look like chickens.

Yes, there has been a chicken coop at 46th and Sansom for several years now.
