To add to David's note, how conservative of a neighborhood are we when
you can find people of a variety of races, ethnicities and
nationalities; homeowners--elderly and young couples with babies;
renters--students & working folks; anarchists; households with
roommates, spouses, partners, relatives, kids, dogs and roosters;
members of MOVE, and our share of neighborhood cranks? There are
Democrats, Republicans, Green Party members, anarchists again,
Independents, and probably some Libertarians and other political
identities. We have no riots, no looting, no crossburnings, and no
house torchings. We don't all love each other, but we don't all hate
each other either (at least most of us).

Once again, keep in mind you are seeing only a subset of your
neighborhood.
The subset with access to this mailing list, the knowhow to subscribe,
and
the desire to read all this... and respond to it. I.e. "this list is
not all
that representative of the neighborhood" for some (many?) issues.
