I've been following the Hack conversation for a little while. I understand
there is a problem with cars being inconsiderately towed, and that it's a good
thing that neighbors are taking the action they need to take to get clarity and
better communication. HOWEVER - I have to say this - the film and video
production community in Philadelphia (which I am a part of) has been suffering BIG
TIME as a result of the downturn in the economy. Hack has employed a whole
bunch of people - friends, neighbors, citizens - that would otherwise not be
employed or would be under employed.
We are grateful for the employment opportunities Hack has offered. If you
continue to have a problem with your cars you may have to stay on the phone more
than you'd like with the Film Office (they are very cooperative, generally).
In my experience, this is less of a hardship than not being able to pay your
bills, educate your children, and take pride in your work.
I don't understand the incessant complaining - it seems counterproductive
and is certainly tiresome.

Respectfully,
Ellen Reynolds
