Why is
everybody so worked up about this? The bowl has been seeded before and it
will be seeded again. For heaven's sake, time out, people. You're
not really talking about the bowl's maintenance though.

Almost all of them were concentrated in the northern end as you say, but several dogs were roaming in the middle and everybody, dogs and owners were standing in dirt. There is no grass where they congregate. Some owners sit on the grass a few feet away from their dogs - ironic that they don't sit on the dirt created by their pets don't you think?
The point is that the bowl needs attention and dog owners are certainly a big part of the problem so they need to be a big part of the solution.
